I found a New York pastrami sandwich that’s better than Katz’s. At Sarge’s, the pastrami is pulled straight from the steam box, machine-sliced, and piled high on rye—and the open-faced pastrami Reuben was easily my favorite. Don’t skip the matzo ball soup or crispy onion rings either.
