Biggest gluten free news of the year..? Coqodaq is popping up inside Lucky Cat Mayfair in London until July 12 (ad/pr)
Coqodaq is known for their gluten free Korean-inspired fried chicken in New York City and it is SUCH a treat to have their food here in London. Lucky Cat is such a fitting vibe for the popup, if you’ve been to the NYC restaurant it feels similar.
The menu is pared down from the NYC offerings but they still have their signature caviar and truffle-topped fried chicken alongside a slightly spicy tuna tartare. The chicken is just as indulgent as it is in NYC and the tartare has a beautiful flavor.
And look I FULLY support making a meal of the truffle chicken nuggets.. but if that’s not your personal journey, the rest of the Lucky Cat menu is decently gluten free friendly like most Gordon Ramsay restaurants.
They use GF soy sauce as their default and the team takes great care with allergens (even checking your cocktails for may contains). They’re known for their sushi and I would recommend getting sashimi and some rolls.
They’re only around until the 12 July (motion to have them open a permanent shop here..??) to celebrate Wimbledon – they have a tennis-inspired cocktail to pair with the fried chicken too. Make your booking ASAP before it’s gone!!
