Synopsis
A miner discovers a sinister plot between a London bank and a South African mine to sabotage gold production in order to inflate global prices of the precious metal.
Plot: The conspirators seek to kill workers and halt production to maximize their profit, while Slater battles to save the mine and the workers.
Romance: Amidst the danger, Slater falls in love with Terry Steyner (Susannah York), the wife of his superior.
