A week in my life in NYC that had everything: good restaurants, a World Cup watch party, my sister’s engagement, and food poisoning to close it all out.
This was one of those weeks where New York genuinely felt like the best place on earth, and then my body had other plans. We went to Soother for khao soi and mango sticky rice, watched Mexico beat South Korea at a local Mexican spot, hit JG Melon for one of the best burgers in the city, celebrated my cousin before she moves to Portland, had an incredible seafood dinner at Greenpoint Fish and Lobster, and then got a phone call at a bakery that completely wrecked me in the best possible way.
And then the tacos caught up with me.
