Midtown Manhattan at lunch hour is a rush of office workers, food carts and sunny sidewalks. This NYC 4K walking tour goes from Grand Central and Park Avenue to Fifth Avenue, then Central Park.
Filmed on a Tuesday starting at 12:11 PM, the walk begins in Midtown East and moves through the office district around Grand Central Terminal, the MetLife Building, Vanderbilt Avenue, Pershing Square and Lexington Avenue. Outdoor tables, takeaway coffee and fast-moving sidewalks turn ordinary blocks into a brief escape from work.
The route continues past halal carts and food trucks, through Midtown’s luxury corridor near Park and Fifth Avenues, then reaches The Plaza and Central Park South. The final section enters Central Park, passing food carts, The Pond, shaded paths, lawns and Melba’s at the Park.
