After spending a month in Hoi An, we headed north to Da Nang, Vietnam expecting beautiful beaches, affordable food, and a different pace of life. What we found was something even more memorable.
From settling into the cheapest apartment we’ve ever rented while traveling to exploring the city’s lively streets, every day brought a new surprise. Da Nang felt completely different from both Hoi An and Hanoi. The ocean breeze, endless cafes, seafood restaurants, and relaxed atmosphere made it easy to see why so many travelers and digital nomads are drawn here.
Along the way, we experienced everyday life in Vietnam in ways we hadn’t expected. A routine trip to the dentist turned into part of the adventure. We discovered local pampering, sampled incredible food, wandered past famous landmarks, and even treated ourselves to a luxury hotel stay with breathtaking ocean views.
What stood out most wasn’t just the low cost of living in Vietnam or the beautiful beaches of Da Nang. It was how quickly the city began to feel comfortable and familiar. Between morning walks by the sea, unforgettable local experiences, and a few surprises we never saw coming, Da Nang slowly worked its way into our hearts.
