Today weโre at @ichiran_ny in New York City, one of the most famous ramen experiences to come out of Japan ๐ฏ๐ต
Before you even sit down, you customize basically every part of your bowl. The richness of the broth, saltiness, spice level, amount of garlic, noodle texture and more. Youโre basically building your perfect bowl of ramen from the ground up ๐ฅ
Then comes the coolest part. Youโre seated in your own individual booth, almost like a little desk from high school ๐ @ichiran_tw designed these booths so you can block out all the distractions and focus completely on the food.
They open the curtain in front of you, serve your ramen without you ever really seeing your server, bow, close the curtain and leave you alone with your bowl ๐
Such a unique experience and the ramen definitely lived up to the hype for me. Now I NEED to try ICHIRAN in Japan when I head to Tokyo next year ๐ฏ๐ตโ๏ธ
