Landmark Athletics took every lesson from the Luxor and built something better. The Everest is a 3×3, 11-gauge steel all-in-one trainer with dual 200lb weight stacks, a Smith machine that travels to 10 inches off the floor, dedicated center pulleys for heavy compound pulls, and a 2:1 pivot arm ratio that drops the starting weight to just 5.5 pounds.
I spent a full day at Landmark’s facility putting this machine through every exercise I could think of. In this review, I break down exactly what the extra $900 over the Luxor gets you, where the Everest fits in the all-in-one trainer landscape, and whether it lives up to the commercial-gym feel Landmark is chasing.
In this review I cover:
– Luxor vs. Everest: every upgrade and design change
– The dedicated center pulley system (1:1 ratio, both stacks combined)
– Pivot arm cable feel at 2:1 ratio vs. the Luxor’s 1:1
– Smith machine depth (10″ off the floor) and what exercises that unlocks
– Build quality: oversized hardware, welds, powder coat, QA
– The knee holder bar and why simple accessories win
– Daily workout flow and exercise transitions
– Landmark Remington bench pairing
– Storage, shrouds, and plate horn compatibility
– Head-to-head comparisons: Luxor, Titan TC EXT-3, RitFit M2 Pro 3D, Flash F50, REP Altitude/Summit
– Who should (and shouldn’t) buy the Everest
– Final verdict and wish list
