I tried the $14 Thai disco fries at Thai Diner in Nolita… crispy fries drowned in green curry gravy and they might be the best fries I’ve had in New York City. I also ordered the phat see ew ($22)
Thai Diner comes from the team behind Uncle Boons, and the concept is an American diner menu rewritten in Bangkok: Thai disco fries, a breakfast sandwich on roti, curries and noodles alongside diner furniture. It sounds like a gimmick and it isn’t, this is some of the most genuinely flavourful Thai food I’ve eaten in NYC.
