SNORKELING LAGUNA BEACH AFTER HURRICANE MARIE 🌊 | 10+ COVES, BEST SNORKEL SPOTS, UNDERWATER FOOTAGE
Filmed September 9th-10th 2026
Typo in video: says August 9th
What does the Laguna Beach coastline actually look like after a major storm? We headed out to find out.
After Hurricane Marie passed through Southern California, we spent the day exploring and snorkeling some of Laguna Beach’s most popular — and harder-to-find — coastal spots. This is a 19-minute, thorough Laguna Beach snorkeling guide and post-storm coastline review packed with practical information to help you decide where to go, where to park, when to go, and which areas are worth checking out when conditions are right.
We visit and discuss more than 10 Laguna Beach snorkeling hotspots, including:
📍 Crescent Bay
📍 Fisherman’s Cove
📍 Diver’s Cove
📍 Heisler Park
📍 Moss Cove
📍 Ruby Street
📍 Woods Cove
📍 Treasure Island
📍 Goff Cove area near Montage
📍 Christmas Cove
📍 Middle Man’s Cove

We show you how these areas looked after Hurricane Marie, including which spots were still messy from the storm and which areas provided some great underwater visibility.
🦈 CRESCENT BAY LEOPARD SHARKS
One of the highlights is Crescent Bay, where we get underwater footage and show the area on the south side of the bay where leopard sharks often are found.
🤿 WOODS COVE SNORKELING
We also snorkel Woods Cove and give you a firsthand look at the conditions.
🌊 POST-HURRICANE LAGUNA BEACH
The storm definitely had an impact.
Some of the coves and snorkeling areas were messier than normal, with reduced visibility and less-than-ideal conditions in places. But that’s part of what makes this trip useful.
We’re showing you what the coastline looked like after the storm, while also explaining why these same locations can be excellent snorkeling destinations when you catch them on the right day.
⏰ WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SNORKEL LAGUNA BEACH?
Timing matters.
We talk about low tide, ocean conditions, water clarity, swell and visibility, and why choosing the right day can make a huge difference in your experience.
Laguna Beach has an incredible number of small coves, beaches, reefs and rocky shoreline areas packed into a relatively small stretch of coast. Knowing where to park and which access point to use can save you a lot of time.
🗺️ A COMPLETE OVERVIEW OF LAGUNA’S SNORKELING HOTSPOTS
Think of this video as a Laguna Beach snorkeling overview.
Instead of focusing on just one beach, we take you along the coastline and show you a collection of the area’s most interesting snorkeling locations.
Some are better for beginners.
Some require better ocean conditions.
Some are rocky and require extra care.
Some are better at certain tides.
And some are simply worth knowing about for a future trip.
Our goal is to give you enough information to help you decide where to go on your next good ocean day.
Whether you’re looking for leopard sharks, rocky reefs, clear water, protected coves, underwater scenery or simply a new place to explore, Laguna Beach has an incredible amount to offer.
