Nikko Hurtado has been at the forefront of modern tattooing for years – inspiring thousands of young artists to push the boundaries of what they thought was possible.
Specializing in incredible photo-realistic tattoos, Nikko puts work into the skin that would be a challenge even on a flat canvas.
In 2010, Nikko opened up his shop Black Anchor in Hesperia, CA – and in 2017 he expanded to this second location that we visit today, right on Melrose Blvd in Hollywood.
In this episode we’ll get a personal tour of Nikko’s shop, where you’ll find just as many stunning works of art hanging up on the walls as you see leaving on people’s bodies. We’ll get to hear the story of how his tattoo journey began, and how he’s able to tap into an infinite well of creativity with his work on and off the skin.
