Our first impressions of Sri Lanka! 🇱🇰
We’ve finally made it to Sri Lanka, and this country has already completely surprised us. In our first proper day here, we explore the incredible Sigiriya Lion Rock, climb all the way to the top, learn about its crazy history and take in some of the best views we’ve seen in Sri Lanka.
We also head out on an amazing safari where we get incredibly close to wild elephants in their natural habitat, spot loads of other wildlife and experience a completely different side of Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰🐘
We’re staying at the beautiful Amba Yaalu, Sri Lanka’s first hotel run entirely by women, surrounded by mango trees and some seriously beautiful countryside. We finish the day with afternoon tea by the lake and a candlelit dinner.
