In my previous video, I travelled from the USA to Canada by ferry, crossing from Bar Harbor, Maine to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Now I’ve arrived in Nova Scotia, Canada for the first time, and as someone from Scotland, this is somewhere I’ve wanted to visit for years. I’m setting off on a solo Nova Scotia road trip to discover the coastline, colourful fishing towns, history and incredible seafood of Atlantic Canada.
Starting in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, I travel along the Nova Scotia South Shore, visiting Barrington, Carters Beach and colourful Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Along the way, I learn about Acadian culture, try local seafood and visit Peggy’s Cove, one of the most famous places to visit in Nova Scotia.
My first impressions of Canada have been so positive, and next I’m continuing my Canada travel adventure north towards Cape Breton Island to discover Canada’s Scottish history and Gaelic heritage.
