Wo Hop is one of those New York places that still feels like old-school Chinatown.
It’s been serving generations of New Yorkers since 1938, and it’s still one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the city.
My order: egg rolls with hot mustard, sesame chicken, fried rice, and a few plates for the table.
Best tip: bring cash and go before the dinner rush if you can.
No gimmicks. No trendy redesign. Just really good food and a lot of New York history.
What’s your favorite old-school NYC restaurant?
