BREAKING: Albanian villagers WARNED Jared Kushner about the disputed land he covets – then his developers paid $125 million to a GANGSTER for it!

Jared Kushner’s luxury resort project in Albania has taken an extraordinary new turn after his development partners paid $125 million for disputed beachfront property to a man now accused of playing a leading role in an international cocaine-smuggling operation.

Residents of Zvernec had previously warned him they had been fighting in court for years over land they claimed had been stolen from their families by Artur Shehu, a suspected gangster who fled to Miami after shooting someone in a bar he owned.

They urged Kushner not to proceed, insisting the site was “owned by the village and its residents.” Naturally, his development group ignored them and pressed ahead and paid Shehu $125 million for his land on pristine Zvernec Peninsula, where the developers envision a sprawling $5 billion luxury development.

Now, things are getting ugly for Jared and his demure bride Vanky: Albanian prosecutors are seeking Shehu’s arrest, accusing him of leading a sprawling criminal organization that moved cocaine from South America into Europe and laundered the proceeds through real estate. Allegedly.

What’s more, prosecutors say some of the land involved in the alleged laundering scheme was acquired through forged historical ownership records.

Guess which land they are talking about? Yup, Zvernec. In one earlier case involving the area, an Albanian court found that an Ottoman-era land record had been mistranslated to substitute Shehu’s ancestor as the owner.

Now the controversy is exploding far beyond a courtroom property dispute. After the developers fenced off parts of the environmentally protected peninsula with razor wire, locals showed up to protest, during which private goons hired by Kushner’s firm were recorded punching a villager in the throat and dragging him across the beach.

Now prosecutors have frozen the entire $125 million before it could reach Shehu, while investigating allegations that his real-estate empire included land obtained through forgery.

Kushner’s group says it believes the purchase was legit, and authorities haven’t yet halted the project. But the developers are now trying to move forward with an enormous project on disputed land, with the purchase price frozen in a notary’s account.

The villagers told Kushner so, but in his hubris carried on. Now the money is on ice, the seller is wanted, and sorting out matter has become a very expensive problem.

Now one hell of a mess is washing up on Jared and Ivanka’s luxury beach. The people on the beach holding protest signs should have told you trouble was afoot.

We’ll break out the popcorn.
