This Tehran Food Tour reveals what life in Iran is really like during summer—from traditional Persian ice cream and faloodeh to Tehran nightlife, Darband, rare classic cars, and one of the city’s busiest juice shops.
Join me on an authentic Iran travel vlog as we explore the real Tehran through Persian food, local traditions, young people, family businesses, and the city’s unforgettable summer nights.
We begin at Ali Baba Vitamin Bar, where Iran’s famous “vitamin” shakes and majoon are loaded with ice cream, dates, saffron, rose water, fruit, and nuts.
Next, we visit Haj Safar, a family-run shop that has been making traditional Persian saffron ice cream for more than 80 years. We go behind the scenes to see how Iranian ice cream is made with milk, salep, rose water, saffron, pistachios, and frozen cream.
We also discover Persian faloodeh, a refreshing Iranian dessert made with soft starch strands and frozen rosewater syrup, served with fresh lime juice and sour cherry syrup.
Then, we explore the National Car Museum of Iran, home to rare Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mercedes-Benz models, Rolls-Royces, royal limousines, and several one-of-a-kind historic vehicles.
As the sun goes down, we experience Tehran nightlife at Gelato House, a popular summer hangout for young Iranians, and taste five creative gelato desserts with local customers.
Our Tehran summer adventure continues in Darband, at the foothills of the Alborz Mountains. We explore riverside restaurants, colorful fruit leather, sour Persian snacks, local artists, mountain paths, and Darband’s beautiful nighttime chairlift.
Finally, we visit Tochal Juice, one of Tehran’s busiest juice shops. Huge crowds gather here for fresh fruit juice, pistachio shakes, Nutella shakes, strawberry shakes, and sour Persian majoon late into the night.
