Hey everyone! We have had a few people come into our studio asking about a tattoo apprenticeship, and although I don’t feel like I know enough to teach anyone, I made this video in the hopes I can help guide you in the right direction. I share a bit about my journey, tattoo apprenticeships, building a portfolio, income and expenses, and more! For my regulars it’s bit different than my usual artist diaries series but I hope you enjoy as well. :’)
Also, I’m currently located in BC, Canada so some things may vary depending on where you are (like taxes and also of you need any licenses). For us, we need a business license, our Bloodborne Pathogens certification, and we have routine health inspections.
