Pronounced ‘Shin-ay,’ its name means ‘that’s it’ in Irish and is a humorous nod to a neighbouring funeral parlour when this tiny pub was established in 1889.
It claims to have the city’s longest running trad music session, where a band performs in the far corner, seven evenings a week.
This well-known whiskey bar Was established in 1895 and feels a little like being in an old grocery, as the worn wooden interior surrounds a low central, island bar.
They claim to have the largest collection of Irish Whiskeys in Ireland, with over 540, however they are most known for the remarkable achievement of bartender Rory McGee (who coincidentally was born around the corner from where I lived in London) who set a Guinness World Record by crafting 49 Irish Coffees in less than three minutes.
