For decades it was a modest home, but in the early 20th century it was converted into the pub it is today.
One of the city’s smallest pubs, it is much more welcoming than it would have been when the area was used as a market, with meat hung in the alley with the name ‘flesh market close’ still being used today.
It was here where I met Matt from The Scottish Sun newspaper who very kindly interviewed me for a big feature about compiling my book.
