Welcome to episode 5 of Live Local Danville 🍺
Right on Railroad Avenue in the heart of downtown Danville sits one of the community’s most beloved gathering spots, the Danville Brewing Company. Danville’s first and only locally owned craft brewery, restaurant, and full bar The story behind it is as good as the beer.
The Maita family has been in the beer business since shortly after Prohibition, distributing and working with some of the biggest breweries in the world, so when a spot opened up on Railroad Avenue in historic downtown Danville, they knew exactly what to do with it. They partnered with the team behind beloved local restaurants Bridges and The Vine, brought in award-winning UC Davis Master Brewer Matt Sager, and built something the community had never had before.
Here’s what you need to try:
🍺 Danville IPA — the house classic, crisp and hoppy
🏆 925 Blonde — Gold medal winner at the Best of Craft Beer Awards
🍪 Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Ale, Bronze medal winner, warm spices, vanilla and cocoa
🍔 The Classic Cheeseburger – homemade, legendary, the go-to order
🥨 Pretzel Bites with DBC Beer Cheese – the perfect pairing with a cold pint
🌮 Fish Tacos – ale battered, with citrus slaw and avocado cream
🍟 Chili Cheese Fries – loaded with chorizo, beef and beer chili, white cheddar and gruyere
Over 15 taps of craft beer brewed on site, plus a full bar and craft cocktails, so even if beer isn’t your thing, there’s something for everyone. And the outdoor patio? One of the best people-watching spots in Danville.
