🌴 **WE ARRIVED IN CURAÇAO! OUR AMAZING FIRST DAY | CAS ABAO + PLAYA PISKADO**
Our incredible **Curaçao adventure officially begins!** 🌊🤿

We are **Carol and Roh from Beyond the Surface Travel**, two women passionate about traveling, scuba diving and discovering incredible destinations around the world.
On this trip, we’re exploring Curaçao both **above and below the surface** — from paradise beaches and Caribbean sunsets to scuba diving, snorkeling, marine life, local restaurants and unforgettable experiences.
And this is **DAY 1 IN CURAÇAO! 🇨🇼**
✈️ **ARRIVING IN CURAÇAO**
Our flight arrived in the middle of the morning, which meant our first day on the island was a little shorter than usual.
After landing at the airport, we picked up our **rental car in Curaçao** and drove toward our accommodation.
We chose to stay in an area that is especially convenient for travelers interested in **scuba diving and snorkeling in Curaçao**.
And the view from our apartment?
Absolutely incredible! 💙
But we didn’t come all the way to Curaçao to stay inside…
We dropped off our luggage and immediately started exploring!
🏝️ **FIRST STOP: CAS ABAO BEACH**
Even though it was a little farther from our accommodation, we decided to begin our Curaçao adventure at one of the island’s most famous beaches: **Cas Abao Beach**.
Turquoise Caribbean water, beautiful scenery and crystal-clear conditions made this the perfect introduction to the island.
Because our flight arrived during the morning, we only had the afternoon to enjoy Cas Abao.
But that was enough for us to realize one thing:
**Curaçao was going to be an incredible adventure!**
🐢 **PLAYA PISKADO: SEA TURTLES, TROPICAL FISH AND EVEN A STINGRAY!**
After visiting Cas Abao, we returned to our accommodation, located right across from the famous **Playa Piskado**, also known as **Playa Grandi**, in the Westpunt area.
This small fishing beach is one of the best-known places in Curaçao for seeing **sea turtles and Caribbean marine life**.
Of course, we had to get into the water!
During our first snorkeling experience, we encountered:
🐢 Sea turtles
🐠 Schools of tropical fish
🌊 Crystal-clear Caribbean water
🤿 Incredible marine life
✨ And even a stingray!
All of this was practically in front of our accommodation.
It’s difficult to describe the feeling of arriving in Curaçao and, only a few hours later, already swimming alongside so much marine life.
🌅 **AN UNFORGETTABLE CARIBBEAN SUNSET**
After snorkeling at Playa Piskado, Curaçao gave us one more surprise.
An absolutely beautiful **Caribbean sunset**.
Watching the sky change colors over the Caribbean Sea was the perfect way to finish our first afternoon on the island.
🍽️ **OUR FIRST EVENING IN CURAÇAO**
To end our first day, we had dinner reservations at a nearby and highly recommended restaurant, **Isabelle Off The Beach**.
After a full day of flying, driving, exploring beaches and snorkeling, it was finally time to enjoy dinner and get some rest.
Because **DAY 2 IN CURAÇAO is going to be incredible!**
🤿 We’re going scuba diving, exploring more of Curaçao’s underwater world and discovering even more of this Caribbean paradise.
And our adventure is only beginning…
