A nationwide crackdown has dismantled a Pakistan ISI-backed terror network ahead of Independence Day, leading to the custody of over 200 suspected operators across fourteen states. Coordinated multi-state operations led by security agencies resulted in secret raids and the recovery of improvised explosive devices, grenades with Pakistan Ordnance Factory markings, pistols, live ammunition, and espionage equipment. Suspects installed CCTV cameras equipped with mobile phone chips near vital assets and railway lines to relay real-time military movement across the border. Investigations identified over 500 suspicious mobile numbers and revealed a social media recruitment pipeline where youth were radicalized, offered money, and coerced into reconnaissance, weapons smuggling, and planned terror attacks.
