Southern California is known for having some of the world’s best beaches. But they aren’t ALL great. In this video I’ll share what I consider to be the best and worst beaches in Los Angeles and Orange County California. We’ll start at Malibu in the north, and work our way down to San Clemente in the south.

What do I look for in a good beach:
Lots of sand, the softer the better – on the beach, and in the water
Suitable for play, swimming, bodyboarding, and surfing
Easy Access, with ample parking
Clean and accessible facilities (restrooms)
Good restaurants nearby

Qualities of a bad beach:
No sand… only rocks
You need to hike a mountain goat path to get to the beach
No parking.. Or parking really far away
No waves = no fun
No restrooms
No food
Awful traffic
