Lowdermilk Beach and Park is named for Naples’ first city manager, Fred Lowdermilk. It is the only public “BEACHFRONT” park in Naples Florida. Enjoy shelling, shell hunting, swimming, kayaking, diving, snorkeling, jogging, picnic, running, sunbathing and more.
Lowdermilk Beach and Park, not far from 5th Avenue South and historic Third Street, is Naples Florida’s premier beachfront park. You will find sand volleyball courts, picnic tables, two children’s playgrounds, benches, restrooms and showers along with a pristine beach. There are two gazebos available for rent. A concession stand can be found in the center of the park, which offers hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, coffee and sodas. Vehicle parking requires a beach parking sticker, or you can pay by space using cash (quarters only) or credit/debit card. This is enforced year-round. There are limited free parking spaces just outside of the park.
*** HURRICANE IAN UPDATE: Hurricane Ian struck this part of Southwest Florida in September of 2022 (which is a few months after we recorded this 4K video) and did a lot of damage to the Lowdermilk Beach and Park, so just like all videos and photographs, this video is a “snapshot in time” showing you how things were BEFORE HURRICANE IAN.
