Anthony Michael Hall, 58, told Teen Beat podcast he’s been friends with Robert Downey Jr. for over 40 years since Weird Science. He got Downey his SNL audition and they wrote scripts together. Hall is godfather to one of Downey’s sons and called him “a very real, down-to-earth guy.” He praised Downey’s comeback as “one of the greatest in Hollywood history.”
