Chef Sam Braverman, chef-owner of Lori Jayne in Bushwick and the king of NYC steak frites, brings Eater to his favorite spots on his day off. We start at Mudspot, the cafe behind the iconic Mudtruck where Sam spent countless hours growing up and still grabs his favorite coffee in the city. Next, he teams up with lifelong culinary hero Wylie Dufresne at Stretch Pizza to create a one-day-only Stretch x Lori Jayne collaboration featuring Sam’s signature Buffalo 2.0 sauce. From there, we head to his favorite Italian restaurant, Forsythia, where he digs into the rigatoni all’Amatriciana and the duck angolotti before ending the night with a creative nonalcoholic drink at Lullaby.
