Some of you have been asking, โPriya, would you really travel from London to Tirupati to perform a traditional mottai (tonsure) ceremony?โ ๐ฌ๐งโ๏ธ๐ฎ๐ณ
So, I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself and share a little about my journey.
I was born and brought up in Chennai, India, and moved to the UK 11 years ago. Iโm proud to be a UK-certified 1st Tamil lady barber, specialising in traditional blade tonsure ceremonies.
Traditional blade tonsure can be difficult to find, particularly for babies and specially abled children. As a mother of two, I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and reassured. I always approach every child with love, patience, care and professionalism. ๐ถโค๏ธ
Alongside barbering, Iโm also a hairdresser, beauty therapist and makeup artist, with international training in the UK. I trained for four years and gained two years of commercial experience in a top celebrity salon.
Today, Iโm grateful to run my own salon and to have wonderful clients across London, the UK, Ireland and Scotland, as well as supporters from India, the USA, Singapore, Malaysia and the UAE. ๐โค๏ธ
The love and support Iโve received from Indian, Sri Lankan Tamil, Asian and English communities means more to me than I can express. ๐โค๏ธ
This journey has been filled with learning, hard work, love and countless beautiful memories.

Iโm simply a Tamil woman from Chennai who followed her passion, built her career in the UK, and feels truly blessed to serve families with care.
