कैलाश मानसरोवर केवल एउटा हिमाली गन्तव्य होइन, श्रद्धा, साधना र मानव चेतनासँग जोडिएको एक दिव्य तीर्थभूमि हो। कैलाश पर्वतको उचाइ करिब ६,६३८ मिटर (२१,७७८ फिट) छ र यसको वरिपरि गरिने कैलाश कोरा/परिक्रमा करिब ५२ किलोमिटर मानिन्छ। परिक्रमा मार्गको सबैभन्दा उच्च बिन्दु डोल्मा ला पास करिब ५,६३० मिटर उचाइमा पर्छ, जहाँ अक्सिजनको मात्रा निकै कम हुने भएकाले यात्रा अत्यन्त चुनौतीपूर्ण हुन्छ। कैलाशबाट एसियाका महत्वपूर्ण नदी प्रणालीहरू—सिन्धु, सतलज, ब्रह्मपुत्र र कर्णाली—सँग सम्बन्धित हिमनदी तथा जलप्रवाहहरू निस्कने क्षेत्रहरू छन्।
हिन्दू परम्परामा कैलाशलाई भगवान् शिवको पवित्र धाम मानिन्छ भने बौद्ध, जैन र बोन परम्परामा पनि यसको गहिरो आध्यात्मिक महत्त्व छ। नजिकै रहेको मानसरोवर ताल करिब ४,५९० मिटर उचाइमा अवस्थित विश्वका उच्चतम ताजा पानीका तालहरूमध्ये एक हो। यही पवित्र भूमिमा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय योग दिवसको अवसरमा योगी आचार्य राजन शर्माले नाङ्गोपाउ कैलाश परिक्रमा गर्दै १०८ योगीहरूसँग योग, साधना, शान्ति र मानवताको सन्देश विश्वसामु पुर्याउने अभियान अघि बढाउनुभएको छ। यो यात्रा केवल ५२ किलोमिटरको कठिन परिक्रमा होइन—चिसो, विरल हावा, उच्च उचाइ र शारीरिक पीडाबीच श्रद्धा र संकल्पलाई कायम राख्ने एउटा साहसी साधना हो। १०८ योगी, अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय योग दिवस, नाङ्गोपाउ कैलाश परिक्रमा र विश्वशान्तिको संकल्पमार्फत नेपालबाट विश्वलाई योग, करुणा, शान्ति र मानवताको सन्देश दिने यो यात्रा एउटा प्रेरणादायी आध्यात्मिक अध्याय बनेको छ
Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar are not merely Himalayan destinations; they are sacred lands deeply connected with faith, spiritual practice, and human consciousness. Mount Kailash stands at approximately 6,638 metres (21,778 feet), and the Kailash Kora (circumambulation) is approximately 52 kilometres. The highest point of the pilgrimage route is Dolma La Pass, at around 5,630 metres, where the air is thin and the journey becomes physically and mentally demanding. The region is also associated with the source areas of major Asian river systems, including the Indus, Sutlej, Brahmaputra and Karnali.
In Hindu tradition, Mount Kailash is revered as the sacred abode of Lord Shiva, while it also holds profound spiritual significance in Buddhism, Jainism and the Bon tradition. Nearby Lake Manasarovar, at approximately 4,590 metres, is one of the world’s highest freshwater lakes. On this sacred land, Yogi Acharya Rajan Sharma undertook a barefoot Kailash Parikrama on the occasion of International Yoga Day, together with 108 yogis, carrying a message of yoga, spiritual practice, peace and humanity to the world. This journey was not simply a challenging 52-kilometre circumambulation; it was a profound act of dedication and spiritual discipline, undertaken amidst freezing temperatures, thin air, extreme altitude and physical hardship. With 108 yogis, International Yoga Day, the barefoot Kailash Parikrama and a commitment to world peace, this journey represents an inspiring spiritual chapter dedicated to sharing Nepal’s message of yoga, compassion, peace and humanity with the world.
