I first heard about this bar from a bartender in Lisbon, spent my night there listening to him hype up a spot in New York. Schmuck comes from Moe Aljaff and Juliette Larrouy, the duo behind World’s 50 Best Bars-listed Two Schmucks in Barcelona, who popped up around the city for a couple years before opening this East Village location in early 2025. It’s already ranked one of the best bars in the world. 🍸✨
The now-retired Margarita and Cream (mango-cilantro sorbet topped with whipped cream) was summer heaven, and it’ll likely be back in some form. Mocktail options are limited, but the cocktails are fun, creative, and dangerously easy to drink. Great vibe, great music, worth the hype.
