In part two of our Okinawa trip, we continued exploring beyond Naha and spent more time seeing the island’s beaches, coastal scenery, and some of its most popular spots. Okinawa has such a different pace from mainland Japan, and this part of the trip really showed that—from scenic drives and ocean views to slower days by the water. If you’re planning an Okinawa itinerary, this video covers a mix of must-see attractions, island hopping, local food, and some of the best beaches we visited during our trip.
We made our way around the main island with stops at Churaumi Aquarium, American Village, and Cape Manzamo, taking in everything from one of Japan’s most famous aquariums to Okinawa’s dramatic coastline. Of course, food was still a big part of the trip, with stops at Coco Ichibanya and Tonkatsu Koyaji Naha Store along the way. It was a good mix of sightseeing, casual meals, and quieter moments that made exploring Okinawa feel much more relaxed than a typical city trip in Japan.
The highlight of this part of our Okinawa travel vlog was definitely our trip to Tokashiki Island. We spent time at Aharen Beach, surrounded by clear turquoise water and some of the most beautiful scenery we saw in Okinawa, before heading out on an island-hopping trip to a nearby uninhabited island. Between the beaches, boat rides, coastal views, and slower island atmosphere, this was the side of Okinawa we were most excited to experience—and easily one of our favorite parts of the entire trip.
