Travel + Leisure just named the Jersey Shore one of the best domestic places to travel in September, which is great news for tourism and terrible news for those of us who thought September was our little secret.
Because if you know, you know: September at the Jersey Shore is arguably better than August.
🌊 The ocean is usually warmer
🏖️ The beaches have WAY more breathing room
🎒 Kids are back in school
🚗 Parking gets easier… and in some places, cheaper or free
☀️ There’s still plenty of summer weather
🏠 And vacation rental prices can drop considerably from peak-season rates
For years, September has been the sweet spot for people who want the Shore without quite as much… Shore.
And if you’re flexible, some of the best vacation-rental values of the entire season can be found after Labor Day. Take some of what you saved and buy travel insurance because there is one tiny little asterisk:
