We road tripped the entire California coast in the spring and saw SO much sea life & wildlife! This town though was the best for wildlife and we cannot believe the experience we had here!

Right in the harbor near town, otters hang out during the day! They are super close to the boardwalks and piers so it is easy to just walk right up and see them.
After chatting with locals, we understand they are here year-round! Although sometimes they are not right in the harbor.
It is SUPER important you don’t approach otters – they can be aggressive & it is also just wrong. You should always give animals like this some space since we are lucky enough to observe them 💛
