Don’t go to Katz’s Delicatessen for a pastrami sandwich on the weekend. Go here instead.
📍Sarge’s Deli
548 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10016
Don’t get me wrong, Katz’s is absolutely worth trying at least once. The pastrami is incredible. But on weekends, the lines can be ridiculously long.
If you’re looking for a great alternative without the wait, head to Sarge’s Delicatessen in Murray Hill.
They’ve been serving classic Jewish deli favorites since 1964, and their pastrami is thick-cut, juicy, tender, and piled high on fresh rye bread with mustard.
Best of all, no crazy lines.
