📍Yellowstone National Park is home the America’s Serengeti – specifically Lamar Valley in Yellowstone. This is because this valley holds one of the highest concentration of free-roaming wildlife in the lower 48.
We got lucky enough to be in the middle of a herd on both sides of the street, they were crossing so frequently, it was nearly impossible to drive out of the area! We ended up parking and watching the 60+ bison for an hour and it was one of the best experiences of our life!!
People will come here though and not see any animals, so here are our tricks to seeing them every visit 👇
🌅Come at sunrise or sunset! This is key!!! Wildlife are more active during these times.
🚐Be patient, we would sit in pull offs for a while and wait for herds to move closer.
❗️Never park in the middle of the road to view wildlife, always move over to a pull off.
👀Bring binoculars or a scope to scan the tree line or hills. Bison herds are easy to spot with your eyes but bears and wolves aren’t. Tools like these can help.
SAVE this post so you can experience this one day!!
