In Scary Movie (2026), the final Ghostface reveal becomes less about solving the mystery and more about settling the franchise’s unfinished business.

Anthony Anderson is the first person to remove his mask. He proudly announces that he has brought his former partner Kevin Hart with him, but the second Ghostface turns out to be Shaquille O’Neal instead. Shaq explains that Kevin refused to appear in the movie, leaving Anthony stunned that Kevin Hart apparently found one project he would not accept.

Then Ray and Shorty arrive in Ghostface costumes of their own. For a moment, the four men celebrate the sight of four Black Ghostfaces as a historic example of “Black excellence.” The unity does not last long.

Ray and Shorty confront Anthony and Shaq for appearing in Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4 after the Wayans family had been pushed out of the franchise. They praise Shaq’s broadcasting career before bringing up Kazaam and his departure from the Lakers. Anthony receives congratulations for his many Emmy nominations—until Shorty reminds him that he never actually won.

The scene deliberately blurs the line between the characters and the actors playing them. What begins as a Ghostface reveal becomes an openly self-aware joke about replacement sequels, Hollywood politics, and the Wayans brothers returning to reclaim the series after more than two decades.

In the U.S., Scary Movie is currently available digitally to rent or buy through Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango At Home. No free or subscription-streaming option is currently listed.
