Dreaming of a Mediterranean beach vacation without the price tag of some of the more famous destinations? In this video, we’re exploring two of Montenegro’s more affordable coastal towns – Petrovac and Ulcinj.
After passing through the bustling resort town of Budva, we chose to slow things down and discover a quieter side of Montenegro’s coastline. We spent several relaxing weeks enjoying the crystal-clear Adriatic at beaches like small Beach, Lučice Beach, Petrovac Beach, Buljarica Beach, and Long Beach in Ulcinj. Along the way, we explored the historic Kaštio Fortress, watched locals leap into the sea below, climbed to scenic viewpoints, and even treated ourselves to a beach bed at Nirvana Beach for one final day by the water.
Not every part of Montenegro felt like a budget destination, but with apartment stays, home-cooked meals, and a little flexibility, we found a great balance between saving money and enjoying a few memorable splurges.
